Bagong Pag-asa (BP) is the continuation of the work of Frank and Anita Worthen. The work began in 1973 when Frank, at 44 years of age left the homosexual lifestyle and recommitted his life to Jesus Christ. He was the founder of Love in Action, one of the largest and oldest ex-gay ministries in the world today. He also was one of the founders of Exodus International, North America in 1975. In November 1990 Frank and Anita were sent to Manila as missionaries of Exodus International. Over the next four years the work in Manila flourished and Frank and Anita returned home, leaving BP as an autonomous ministry in the hands of Filipino leadership. On returning home, Frank and Anita started New Hope Ministry in the San Francisco bay area.
Over the past 30 years, Frank has appeared on countless radio and television shows including the 700 Club and the Phil Donahue Show. Frank has written several books including "This Way Out " and has recently co-authored with Anita the books "Caring for Gay Loved Ones", and “The Church and the Homosexual Issue.”
